Anna Kendrick, one of the most famous protagonists in the Pitch Perfect films, popularly known as Beca, released her new memoir, "Scrappy Little Nobody" last November 15.
Following her successful character in Pitch Perfect, Kendrick launched her own book which tackles about her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she had experienced all though out her career and how she climbed to and from the heart of pop culture, as reported by CS Monitor.
Scrappy Little Nobody was described as equally lighthearted and introspective as it chronicles Kendrick journey to fame. It also features how Kendrick has been on her own without the trite clichés. Without the technicalities of how-tos, the book narrated all Kendrick's struggles in navigating the public's perception of her without the influence of media training.
Kendrick played in various musical films such as Into the Wood and The last Five Years and in 2016 films The Hollars and The Accountant. The singer-actress has been nominated in Oscars as Best Support Actress in the movie Up in the Air in 2009.
In Pitch Perfect, Kendrick played as a college student who joined the acapella group and how her participation changed the group making it to the top. Moreover, Brent Lang, a variety reporter said that the Pitch Perfect as a money was a success story that relied on strong word-of-mouth which earned momentum on both on-demand platforms and on cable television through its chart-topping soundtrack sales.
The second film of Pitch Perfect took the story in a different way by introducing a new character in the person of Emily played by Hailee Steinfeld as a rising composer and singer and changing Beca's career into more than just being an acapella singer by being an aspiring producer.
Due to the demand of the movie, a third film is set to be released by 2017.
