The world's largest smartphone manufacturer, Samsung, has started developing the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab S2 and the Galaxy Note 5.
With reference to Samsung's past events, the tech company doesn't have the best performance when it comes to handing over the timely Android updates. Even so, in recent years, Samsung has dramatically improved in delivering the updates, and all signs indicate that the South Korean tech monster is not about to slack off when it comes to rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its recent flagship tablets and smartphones.
Anyway, earlier this week, there were news that the tech giant has started firing up the development of Nougat firmware for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Now, the Nougat firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and Galaxy Note 5 is in the works as well, GSM Arena reported.
In spite of that, there's no exact details as to when the update will be available, with reports are noting that Samsung device owners are likely going to take at least a couple of months to get the update.
Anyway, the tech giant's Android 7.0 Nougat beta program is having a full swing overseas. The unlocked Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones in Europe are now receiving the beta software's second build. Wherein, the latest beta software is dealing with various issues that includes a bug that caused Facebook to crash, according to Sam Mobile.
The European Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge owners can wirelessly get the 92MB second beta software, or these owners can access the update manually through Settings, About Device, then Software update.
It has been said that the Android 7.0 Nougat beta update for the Galaxy S7 series is currently test-driving a new user interface. Nonetheless, it's too early to tell if the tech company plans to limit its availability to the Galaxy S7 series.
