Intel had been prepping on its seventh-generation Kaby Lake processors due out in the first quarter of 2017. In addition to its overclocking CPU variants, such as Core i7 and Corei5, Intel will introduce a new Kaby Lake architecture that will unlock a processor in the dual-core Core i3 segment, which presumably will aim for budgeted overclockers.

According to a leaked price list by PCGamesN, the next processor iteration Core i3-7350K series will be released when Kaby Lake architecture is launched in January.

In the past, Core i3 dual-core CPU could not move to some games requiring high-quad core limit for its minimum requirements. Now, the inclusion of Core i3-7350K series can be seen as Intel's strategy to bring back overclocking to customers as the new iteration takes higher clock speeds that result in better performance.

As per its specification, Intel's upcoming Core i3-7350K is an entry-level processor and a seventh-generation Core i3 "Kaby Lake" desktop processor, tagged as an unlocked K-Series variant. In its internal chassis, the Intel Core i3-7350K has a well-received dual-core / four threaded processor with a base clock of 4.0GHz that can be boost up to 4.2GHz, 4MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 91 watts.

According to WCCFTech, the Intel Core i3-7350K processor is the fastest Core i3 chip in the Kaby Lake lineup, while Core i7-7700K processor and i5-7600K are the high-calibrated Core i7 and Core i5 chip processors respectively.

The chip is based on the latest 14nm Plus process node that delivers improved efficiency and performance on the existing 14nm FinFET technology, which will be the first architecture to disrupt Intel's traditional tick-tock release pace.

According to the leaked list of the Core i3 prices, the four variants of Core i3 will be released in early 2017, starting with the i3-7100 priced at a little over $122. On the other hand, the value of the Core i3-7350K shows in its retail box version that it is going for $177.

Moreover, rumors were circulating that Intel is also working on an Intel i5 and i7 chipsets so fans of the Kaby Lake technology should keep their eyes on the upcoming releases.
