Recently we saw the release of Respawn Entertainment's Titanfall 2, which delivered the series' first-ever single player campaign. However, the game had experienced a rough road and did not sell well in the market due to an unfortunate release time.

Despite Electronic Arts' assurance that it would take another shot, developer Respawn Entertainment doesn't yet know if they can still make it to the gaming market. Vince Zampella, Respawn Entertainment founder, made the confirmation in a recent interview, saying that his company is currently unsure whether there will be a Titanfall 3.

Right now, it still unclear what the future holds for the Respawn's new critically acclaimed shooter 'Titanfall 2', which has seen sales trouble, causing EA's shares to drop dramatically.

Many have criticized the timing of Titanfall 2's launch, which said to be sandwiched between two of the biggest shooters this year: the EA's own Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. For Titanfall, the event has clearly hit the game very hard, losing its grip on the market.

The timing is so bad for the company that it even failed to match the launch sales of its predecessor, despite releasing on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Despite hitting trouble in the market, Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella believes that a sequel could still be possible and that Titanfall will get its third iteration,Titanfall 3.

In a recent interview with the media, Respawn founder Zampella explains Titanfall 2's problem and its potential for a third iteration. According to GameRant, Zampella has acknowledged the firm's strong commitment to the Titanfall franchise. Zampella also added that it his company, Respawn Entertainment, is committed to working on many Titanfall game, which said to be the only game in development in the studio.

Now, in an interview with Glixel, Respawn made a detour, saying that it still not sure about the status of the third iteration. Based on his quotes in his interview with Glixel, Respawn founder Vince Zampella is well aware that the game was put into a tricky position financially. But Zampella's optimism suggests that conversations are still possible with EA for the third iteration of the game series.

Released on 2014, 'Titanfall' is a multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Respawn Entertainment for the PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The critically acclaimed video game has already received generally positive reviews and numerous awards in the market. The game has won over 60 awards at its E3 2013 launch, including a record-breaking six E3 Critics Awards.

Game reviewers praised Titanfall for its balance, player mobility, and overall accessibility for players of all skill sets. But they also made some criticism, hitting the game for its lack of community features and multiplayer modes.

Still, reviewers considered the game a successful evolution for the first-person shooter game but did not agree as to whether 'Titanfall 2' delivered on its anticipation.

'Titanfall 2' is currently available on PS4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
