‘Justice League’ Movie News & Update: Actors Who Could Replace Ben Affleck As Batman [PHOTOS + VIDEO]
ByMany actors have stepped into Batman's shoes and each of them has added a new touch to the character. Ben Affleck's portrayal of the iconic superhero has gained mixed reaction, but what's certain is that he's probably the most physically well-built Bruce Wayne to ever hit the screen. Moreover, he appears to be the most high-tech, but perhaps that's only because Batman gets more and more technologically-advanced and attuned to modern times with every movie.
While for the most part Affleck is doing a solid job as the Dark Knight, here are a couple of actors that would fit the role. Yes, the jawline and chin construction has been considered for this listing.
Armie Hammer
Hammer portrayed affluent Harvard students Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss in "The Social Network." He later went on to become Prince Charming in "Mirror Mirror." Playing a billionaire tech genius who sidelines as a superhero at night is definitely right up Hammer's alley. As a matter of fact, he nearly played Batman onscreen in the abandoned 2009 film "Justice League: Mortals." However, having co-starred with Henry Cavill in "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," Hammer told Metro people might find it weird if they did that movie and went straight to a superhero film together.
Luke Evans
Evans has a dark and brooding appeal to him that makes him perfect for the role of Bruce Wayne. He also appears very refined, but at the same time very macho when need be. Plus, he and fellow British actor Henry Cavill, who's also the incumbent Superman, have starred together in "Immortals," for which they were lauded for their great teamwork.
Scott Adkins
Much like how Tom Hiddleston is a favorite to be the next James Bond, Adkins was also most everyone's top bet to play Batman. According to Movie Pilot, before Affleck was confirmed for the role, Adkins was the actor fans wanted. Given his solid physique and martial arts skills, he would definitely be the kind of Batman who can beat villains to a pulp with his bare hands and without relying too much on his gadgets. The actor confirmed that he did audition for the role, but unfortunately didn't get the part.
