"Luke Cage" on Netflix is said to be Marvel's most popular streaming show of the year using a peculiar technology that gather data from ambient sounds picked up by mobile devices microphones. "Luke Cage" season 2 is already in the works, but fans are clamoring that another Marvel superhero, Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), should visit the show in the coming season.

"Luke Cage" is a fictional character from the Marvel comic books and played by Mike Colter in the Netflix series. The character was first introduced in another Marvel spin-off "Jessica Jones" before it debuted as a solo series in September of this year.

It has since become Marvel's most popular streaming show of the year, even besting Marvel's "Daredevil" during the first stages of its release. Though Netflix never shows any of their statistics in terms of viewership, an independent party, the Symphony Advance Media was able to collect data as to the most viewed movies in the streaming site as reported in the Observer.

The symphony pays mobile device owners for access on their microphones to pick up noises, which are used as data to determine which movies are being watched by a certain demographic. "Luke Cage" has been very popular with viewers in the 18 to 49 demographic. In fact, the show has garnered 6.34 percent viewership by adults in its first 32 days as reported in Cinema Blend.

The data indicates that "Luke Cage" has surpassed in some level the smashed horror hit "Stranger Things." The show only lag behind fan-favorite "Daredevil" after the 32 day period, but it has captured a steady viewership, at least in the 18 to 49 demographic.

For "Luke Cage" season 2, fans are heavily anticipating a Jessica Jones guesting in the show. Creator Cheo Hodaki Coker has given no official announcements as of yet. "Luke cage" season 2 is set to be released in 2017. Meanwhile, "Luke Cage" season 1 is availabale for streaming in Netflix.
