After the announced reboot of the "Power Rangers" a few months ago, new Zords toys have been recently revealed featuring new looks and new weaponry, which may also be seen in the newest movie. However, fans of the long-running series are not too happy with the new designs, which deviated from its prehistoric look and took on an alien appearance.

Over the last couple of months, fans have been teased with various posters and trailers about the "Power Rangers" movie, but no one knows for certain as to the changes made after the reboot. The only glimpse of what the movie may be like is offered by Bandai's newest toyline, which featured the update "Power Rangers" Zords.

In the classic TV show, Zords are huge mechanical robots that are used by the Power rangers to fight enemies that can grow to enormous sizes as reported by Game Spot. Each Power Ranger has his or her own Zords that provide them with the weaponry they need to fight their enemies.

Megazord and Red's Tyrannosaurus Dinozord have been initially revealed, followed by the newest Zord line up that have been scrutinized by MMPRToys and reported by io9. Zords as is tradition with the 1993 TV show is supposed to feature prehistoric animals, but the new designs seem to incorporate other ideas that fans label as alien-looking.

The newest Zords line-up feature Pink's Pterodactyl Zord, which the review says is one of the few designs that resemble its original look. Yellow's Sabertooth Tiger Zord and Blue's Triceratops Zord still feature recognizable animals, but with a few odd additions like metallic bits or extra legs. However, Black's Mastodon is unrecognizable with its eight legs and general appearance that do not match a prehistoric kin of the elephant.

For now, fans will just have to wait if these alien-looking Zords do find their way into the new movie "Power Rangers," which will hit theaters on March 24, 2017. The movie is directed by Dean Israelite and has a cast comprising of Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Becky G., Ludi Lin, and Bryan Cranston.
