The Surface Book 2 hasn't seen the light of day but if ever Microsoft wants to beat Apple, it should be equipping the upcoming device with these three specifications.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 and the specs it should sport

Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is ahead of the Surface Book i7 for a reason, that is, the impressive performance in graphics card.

The AMD Radeon Pro 450 consumes low energy but it is speedy when it comes to gaming and 3D rendering jobs. According to Gizmodo, Apple MacBook's AMD Radeon Pro 450 wins over Microsoft's Nvidia 965M with the same 2GB RAM.

If the performance consideration determines a consumer's buying decision, then the Surface Book 2 should accelerate both devices performance to lead the way next year.

Next, the Surface Book 2 needs to have better input techniques than any of its competitor, specifically the MacBook Pro 2016. Apple has got it right with its Force Touch trackpad. It is double the size of what its older brother gets, CNET reported.

What makes it brilliant is the pressure sensitivity that responds quickly to multiple gestures - delivering a much smoother experience than any other similar laptops. However, no Apple Pencil is compatible with the touchpad.

Thus, if the Surface Book successor with its detachable feature will arrive with such impressive trackpad and an improved Surface Pen, then it won't be hard to choose among the two.

Last but not least, the upcoming Surface Book 2 should keep the memory card slot where it belongs. The MacBook Pro 2016 ditches the feature and it's annoying to know that your storage option is limited.

Other Surface Book 2 rumored specifications include the 4K display and Intel Kaby Lake processor.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 release date

Microsoft's hybrid device launch is reportedly being delayed for three reasons. It is expected that Surface Book 2 will have a 2017 release date.
