Film shoot has begun for Ocean's 8, a semi-reboot of the Ocean's series starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Andy Garcia. Gary Ross of The Hunger Games fame will be directing and co-writing with Olivia Milch with the premise that it will be an all female group of thieves this time.
One actor who was present in Ocean's 11, 12 and 13 will make a cameo appearance and that person is none other than Jason Bourne star Matt Damon. Damon is famous for playing pick-pocket Linus Caldwell in all three Ocean's movies. It is not known what type of role he will play as he said in an interview he hasn't read the script yet.
Gary Ross is hoping to have more Ocean's stars in small roles for the movie and some won't be known until the premiere of the movie if they can hide it well. Fans have their fingers crossed hoping hunks Brad Pitt and George Clooney also make small appearances in the movie.
The ensemble cast of Ocean's 8 is led by Sandra Bullock and she is joined by Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina. It is expected to have the same plot as Ocean's 11 where the all-girl group will attempt to pull off a big heist for a good purpose. It has also not been announced who will play the lead villain in this movie.
Ocean's 8 is expected to become a box office hit when it hits theatres on June 8, 2018. If it does then numerous sequels are expected to follow similar to what happened when Ocean's 11 made a lot of money in the box office and it was also well received by critics and fans because they were able to use its all-star cast to full extent.
