In a surprising turn of events, Netflix has decided to make Bloodline's Season 3 its last. Bloodline producers Todd A. Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman are also not spilling any details about the plot of the final season.

It is possible the show has decided to end the series after just three seasons because the state where the shooting is held, Florida, has decided to cut back on its incentive program. This ended up making the series more expensive to make so the studio bosses had to be cautious of their budget for Bloodline.

No reason was given as to why the series will end after 3 seasons even though Daniel Zelman revealed they originally planned for it to extend up to 6 seasons. Fans are expecting more plot twists in the final season including more sinister family secrets being revealed.

The series finally has a winner as Ben Mendelsohn recently received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama series after getting nominated for the award 2 times. It is also the first award for Mendelsohn and it is also a well-deserved one as he portrayed Danny Rayburn in the series excellently.

His co-star Kyle Chandler was also nominated for the same award but failed to take it home. He was previously nominated for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama series 5 times and has won it once for his portrayal of Eric Taylor in Friday Night Lights 5 years ago.

If it makes "Bloodline" fans feel better, this is not the first Netflix original series that they have cancelled. They have decided to pull the plug on two other original shows too.

There is no word on when the newest season of Bloodline will premiere. However, it is expected to finally be on air on March 2017.
