OnePlus 3 Android Nougat CM 14 update from CyanogenMod

The custom version of Android Nougat has been rolled out to several smartphone brands including OnePlus 3. The nightly builds from the community have been released a week ago, ahead of OnePlus 3T launch, Android Authority reported.

The ROM is a great tweaks to add to your OnePlus 3 device as it brings the Nougat features that include a change in notification orders, multi-window screen and double-tap to enter sleep mode.

The CM 14 is at its earliest stage, hence, there will be a few bugs and some missing features. CyanogenMod also released CM 14 for other smartphones including Xiaomi Mi 4.

OnePlus 3T: An upgraded version of OnePlus 3

Meanwhile, OnePlus 3T has just been launched. It receives a few upgrades in processor and battery life. There is not much difference between OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T in term of design and build. It has a metal unibody with a sleek design and ergonomic feature.

The newly released device is a 5.5-inch smartphone that packs 3,400 mAh battery capacity and Snapdragon 821, Forbes reported. It is the same chipset that goes under the hood of Google Pixel. However, OnePlus 3T rocks a huge 6 GB RAM, which makes the performance a lot faster than the Pixel.

Selfie addicts will love the 16 MP front-facing camera. On the rear, a 16-MP shooter is equipped with 4K video recording and OIS technology for steady shots.

The main drawback of OnePlus 3T is the incompatibility with Quick Charge from Qualcomm. The device has two variants: 64 GB and 128 GB versions. The base model is priced at $439 whilst the larger storage variant costs $479.

OnePlus 3T is available for US consumers starting from Nov. 22
