Nintendo Entertainment System has released the much-awaited mini NES Classic Edition last Friday. It is a miniaturized version of its classic machine featuring 30 of the classic all-time favorite games from the 80s and 90s.

The Games

The Nintendo Mini Nes will feature a diverse list of titles that have been familiar to players even into this modern era. First of are the first three Super Mario Bros titles as well as arcade conversions of Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Bubble Bobble.

Adventure games like Castlevania and Metroid are also included. Semi-action RPG like the original Legend of Zelda and StarTropics and other games such as the Ninja Gaiden, Double Dragon II, Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure and the innovative versions of Excitebike, including Ice Climber will be featured in the console.

The Design and Accessibility

Nintendo Mini NES is an accurate replica, though shrunken, of the original gaming machine. It comes with a USB for the power source, an HDMI cable, and a smaller version of the NES controller beautifully designed to set the classic mood of the game console.

Although the game console is a compilation of all the greatest hits of classic games, it doesn’t come with a downloadable or extra plug ins for other games.

Most of the featured games can be played with two players and accessible with a second controller that is sold separately.

The Package

With the Nintendo Mini NES, gamers will absolutely find a great deal with the 30 titles straight into the television. There is the option of choosing screen output via CRT Filter or a 4:3 ration display – the “pixel perfect” replica of the original screen output.

The game console is also available with a built-in save system. This is very useful to games with longer outputs and RPG adventure.

The Guardian described the Mini Nes as the game console that brings “the twinkling sprites, the rich idiosyncratic character design, the vibrant scrolling worlds, the absolute aesthetic brilliance” that brings a new exciting nostalgic feeling in the gaming world.

The console is only prices at $60 yet as of now, the mini NES Classic Edition has immediately sellout and run out of stock.
