The new MacBook Pro laptop unveils with shocking features that had earned opposite opinions among consumers.
Though, a lot of upgrades such as the lighter and thinner look, and the Touch Bar feature of the Apple’s new portable computer, some consumers are at stale on the issues such as expensive price, ports removal, the Touch Bar feature, the keyboard, and even the battery life.
So, is it really worth it?
The MacBook Pro
The newest MacBook Pro comes in a whole new level in terms of its functional keys and keyboard.
Noticeably, the keyboard has now a long touch display that enables users to do specific controls on text options, emoji, and modifying sound loudness and photo brightness in flick of the fingertips.
There is also the TouchID that can be used for users in logging in and out on the device and pay online purchases through the Apply Pay.
Is the Touch Bar worth the Price?
The cheapest variant of newest MacBook Pro is priced at $1,499 or less. However, this price doesn’t come with the Touch Bar.
Meanwhile, the cheaper Macbook Pro that comes with the Touch Bar is only 13 inches that already costs $1,799.
On the other hand, the most upgraded version of the product comes in 15-inch version with the Touch Bar and runs $2,399.
While the newest feature is fascinating, would it that worthy to be a step up in the tech revolution or is it simply a pure work of “gimmick”?
According to CNNMoney, a lot can be expected from the new Touch Bar.
Touch Bar Emoji, TouchID, Retina Display
There are numerous emoji that are featured in the Touch Bar. Now Apple features this to maximize its functionality and allow users to simply slide on the Touch Bar for the emoji to be used.
The TouchID will serve as the security gateway to the iPhone as stated in the report. “It's easy to program your finger -- any of your five digits will do -- through the dedicated button, located to the right of the Touch Bar. You can program up to three different fingerprints, catering to families who share one device.”
Aside from the Touch Bar and TouchID, the new MacBook Pro also comes with an incredibly crisp retina display. Its premium body is available in space gray and silver.
On the issue of ports removal, the company claims that the USB-C ports are the future. However, it somehow falls short from other consumers who are more familiar with the traditional ports.
“Overall, the latest version of the MacBook Pro is all about the Touch Bar. Is the novel concept reason enough to purchase the new MacBook Pro? No. But it's a sweet bonus to arguably the best performing laptop on the market.” said by CNNMoney.
