‘Fast & Furious 8’ News, Trilogy Plot, Release Date: Furious Gang Faces New Female Villains And A Friend-Turned-Enemy? [VIDEO]
By"Fast and Furious 8" will be the first of a three part trilogy, which will feature the gang's complex missions as instructed by Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell). Vin Diesel and the Furious gang will be facing new female villains, who are cunning and not just lethal. However, the gang may also be facing an ally-turned-enemy as conflicts arise to test friendships, brotherhood, and family.
Vin Diesel who plays Dominic Toretto has revealed that the Furious franchise will end in "Fast and Furious 10." The eight installment is the first part of a trilogy, which will focus more on complex missions as the gang is inadvertently thrust into collaborating with the government operative Mr. Nobody as reported in Cinema Blend.
"Furious 7" has already established Mr. Nobody's role and the reliability of the gang when it comes to missions requiring their automotive expertise. However, future installments may see Mr. Nobody on the other side of the fence.
Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has also hinted that his character may also do the same, which is surprising given that Hobbs already experienced a change of heart in earlier installments. Fans will just have to wait and see how this confusing piece turns out in the "Fast and Furious 8."
Furthermore, new female villains are on board with heavyweight names like Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren. Theron will play the lead villain, Cipher, whom the cast says elevated the game with her portrayal of a complex, cunning and lethal enemy.
Mirren's role remains undisclosed, but rumors still persist that she will play the mother of Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham). The movie will also feature newcomers like Scott Eastwood, who will be a government agent and may eventually fill in the role that the late Paul Walker (Brian O'Conner) has left. Eastwood will be an addition to the team as they face new villains and undergo difficult missions.
The first trailer for the "Fast and Furious 8" will come out on Dec. 11 according to Digital Spy. The movie is set to be released on Apr. 14, 2017. Meanwhile "Fast and Furious 9" has a tentative release date of Apr. 14, 2019 and "Fast and Furious 10" on Apr. 20, 2021.
