Disney has confirmed that Snow White is the latest iconic fairytale that will get a live action version these coming years. It seems like Disney is keeping true to its word that they will re-brand and re-shape the image of fairy tales that young girls and young boys all across the world have looked up to growing up.

It's taken almost 80 years for this news to come up. While Disney has been successful making critically acclaimed live action versions of "Cinderella," "Sleeping Beauty," "Maleficent" and "The Jungle Book," it has recently announced that it will also not leave behind one of the fairest princess of all time - "Snow White."

There have been different versions of Snow White in the past years, but Disney's own announcement would make it the biggest Snow White to date. The studio is reported to be negotiating with "The Girl on the Train's" screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson to pen the movie. The new songs will also be written by "La La Land's" Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Variety reported.

Disney is also on the work for the live adaptation of other favorite Disney cartoon such as "The Lion King," "Mulan" and even "The Little Mermaid." "Beauty and The Beast" is set to hit the theaters this March and fans are already very excited about it, Vanity Fair reported.

If Disney has to reboot any of its previous works, this one deserves it the most. "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is the very first animated feature back in 1937. It's the very first Disney's children classic film. It then became a groundbreaking success of the studio and has attained various critical achievements.

The studio has not hired a director or the actors for the reboot but it is expected to be news-worthy as this one.
