"Injustice 2" Gets a New Look Thanks to Mortal Kombat X Engine, Released Date Delayed?

A sequel to the successful 2013's Injustice: Gods Among Us", The game is set for release in 2017 for Xbox One and PS4 consoles. Additionally, a mobile version of the game will also be developed for iOS and Android-powered devices.
For a quick start, "Injustice 2" is an upcoming fighting video game being developed by the Chicago-based NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
The sequel, which is said to retain numerous gameplay mechanics from its predecessor "Injustice: Gods Among Us," will now run on the Mortal Kombat X engine, a software application that provided some amazing visuals last year. The Mortal Kombat X engine did a great job in Injustice 2 and boosted the game's background and visuals never seen before.
According to the game developer, the game's visual boost is probably the most immediately noticeable changes made in the game. Compared to the previous version of Injustice, the sequel has a far more detailed character and more improved visual effects. Not to mention the "destructive effect" it's done in the sequel's gaming environment.
Meanwhile, the much-awaited Mortal Kombat DLC update might be delayed as the game developer decides to focus more on Injustice sequel. The action-packed Injustice sequel is set to arrive by next year, however, the recent problems among its voice cast members could possibly cause some delay in its release in the market.
According to recent reports, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists went on strike, demanding some changes to the decade-old contract. Developer NetherRealm Studios and partner Warner Bros. have remained tight-lipped about the said issue, giving no details about the said issue. Not much information is known about the recent strike, question about the people behind it and its possible effect on the game's production timeline and launch date plan remain unanswered.
"Injustice 2" will be released in March 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, followed by a planned mobile version for IOS and Android devices.
