Pencils

Pencils are usually sold using the same color and a number indicates how dark the shading it produces. She packaged them into an Art Deco inspired box with vintage packaging. Even the pencils inside are a work of art themselves.

Tampons

Tampons are tampons, an unremarkable piece of cotton with a string at one end. However, a visionary Chinese company, Yoai, intends to revolutionize the feminine hygiene in China teamed up with design company, Pearlfisher to repackage the item. The result - a pastel colored box with Chinese calligraphy on the package making it look like a sophisticated perfume for women.

Paper Samples

Europapier, a Vienna-based paper manufacturer, wanted to attract design professionals. So they hired Metalinka, a Belgrade-based design studio, to create a packaging for their paper samples. Instead of the boring plastic bag looking shower caps of long ago, she created shower caps that look like turbans with beautiful designs. Then she packaged them in neat pink boxes with small black text. The result is unbelievable you would like to wear it as a fashion piece than in the shower.

Dog Food

Okay, so dog food is not part of student life. However, what the dog food company, Ollie, did to its packaging is something worth mentioning. For starters, it sells subscription dog food to its clientele where they can create custom recipes for their dogs. Then, they ship them in simple white boxes with a nice quote about pets. Missing are any dog or animal references, which makes it look like a box for a personalized, on-demand service.
