ByFans and gamers alike are well aware as to how open-world video games have been a staple genre in the industry. With this, games like "Mafia 3," which was recently released by 2K Games, has again caught the attention of fans as a free DLC was just launched. Moreover, reports have indicated that "Mafia 3" is currently the fastest-selling title in 2K Games' repertoire, according to sources.
It was not too long ago since the initial release of the highly-anticipated open-world game, "Mafia 3," and fans are already getting free additional content courtesy of 2K Games' recently-released Golden Gun DLC, Gamespot reported.
It was detailed that the Golden Gun DLC includes three new weapons-- The Praecisione, The Exterminatore, and The Silentium, Gamespot learned. These three new weapons, which share golden tints in their designs, are respectively classified as a .30 caliber rifle, a shotgun and a pistol.
It was also mentioned that the weapons found in the Golden Gun DLC for the "Mafia 3" are available to download for those who have purchased the game as pre-orders, Gamespot noted.
Furthermore, there will be more free content in store to fans in the future. Gamespot took note that the other free DLC coming to the game's pipe-line will include more vehicle customization options and performance-boosters, as well.
The source also pointed out that the game's developer, Hangar 13, will also be releasing three more paid-DLC's in the future, which will give more depth to the main protagonists time in New Bordeaux.
In other news, it was also reported that 2K Games has shipped "Mafia 3" up to more than four and half million copies during its first week in the market, Polygon reported. As such, Polygon has stated that despite the mixed reviews about the game, it would seem that "Mafia 3" is currently the fastest-selling game that the game's publisher has ever had.
These could only mean great things for the fans of "Mafia 3" as more contents get dished out in the future.
