Android 7.0 Nougat for Xiaomi Redmi 4 Devices

Xiaomi did it again this time. The Apple of the East is currently making buzz around the internet after they launched the Redmi 4 Series consists of four devices namely: Redmi 4 Standard Edition, Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 Pro with prices ranging from $70 from the standard edition to $130 for the premium model.

Redmi 4 Standard Edition and Redmi 4 Pro are both powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processors, whilst, Snapdragon 825 runs in the heart of Redmi 4A. However, Redmi 4 Standard Edition and Redmi 4A has 2GB of RAM coupled with 16GB internal storage, whereas, the Pro edition has 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity, according to Android Authority.

When it comes to mobile operating system, the three devices run the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and not the Nougat. For the meantime, there is no information from Xiaomi as to the rolling out of Android 7.0 Nougat to Redmi 4 devices.

Android 7.0 Nougat for Other Xiaomi Devices

Other smartphone manufacturers have already published the list of eligible devices that are likely to get the Android 7.0 Nougat updates. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi5 is the only expected device to receive the latest system updates, according to Xiaomi Advices.

However, it is assumed that Xiaomi is currently working on the following devices for the Android 7.0 Nougat update: Mi4i, Mi Pad 2, Mi Note, Mi Pro, Redmi 3/3S/3A, Redmi 2 Prime, Mi4C, Mi4S and Redmi Note 3. Meanwhile, loyal fans are still waiting for the official announcement from the company as well as the schedule of system updates.
