According to Global News, the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update can now be unofficially installed in a Google Nexus device through custom ROM developed by AICP developers team, specially made for the Google Nexus 7 (2013).
AICP, also called as the Android Ice Cold Project, brought the latest Android Nougat-based firmware on the flagship tablet with all the Nougat features, including battery optimization, split screen, revamped interface, performance tweaks, exclusive themes, and other value-added features, MobiPicker has learned.
However, the new Nougat custom ROM is an experimental version and may contain bugs in it. So, users and tech enthusiasts should try the new software at their own risk.

1: Download AICP (unofficial) Android 7.0 Nougat custom ROM and Google Apps) on to laptop or computer. Scroll down to find the downloadable files
2: After that connect Google Nexus 7 to PC using USB cord.
3: Then Place Android 7.0 Nougat custom ROM .zip file into the device's memory.
4: Switch off the device then disconnect from the PC.
5: Perform regular 'Bootloader Mode' sortie by press holding 'Volume (up)', 'Volume (down)' and 'Power' buttons together.
6: After entering the 'Bootloader mode', go to Recovery mode, then clear the device memory, by choosing 'wipe data/factory reset'.
7: After that clear cache memory by selecting 'wipe cache partition'.
8: Then navigate back to ClockworkMod recovery, and select 'advanced' and tap 'wipe dalvik cache'
9: Finally return back to main recovery screen and then tap 'install zip from SD card'.
10: Then go to Android 7.0 ROM .zip file in storage and enter the installation process. Repeat the same procedure, use Volume keys to navigate and power button to select options
11: Once done with the installation process, then move to '+++++Go Back+++++' then restart your device by opting 'reboot system now' seen in the recovery menu.
