Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) received its Bluetooth certification just less than a month after passing its WiFi Alliance (WFA) certification test. This could bring the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) release date earlier than first quarter of 2017 as previously speculated.

Gadget fans are anticipating that a December 2016 release date may be in the works, following the tradition of the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) release date, which was December 2015. Samsung has given no official announcement as of yet, perhaps in a bid to tweak interest as the South Korean firm is still recovering from the "Note" exploding fiasco.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) recently got its clearance from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as reported in GSM Arena. Just last month, WFA has released certification for its single sim and dual-sim models (SM-A520F and SM-A520F/D8).

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) sports a metal and glass look, very similar in design with the Samsung Galaxy S7 with its curved edges. The overall appearance is not markedly different as compared to the Samsung Galaxy S7. The A5, as the newest in the top-of-the line Samsung Galaxy A series, just looks a lot more sophisticated.

However, there are those who think that the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) appears to take on the S6 appearance. It just borrowed many of the favorite capabilities of S7.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) also has a usb type-C port that will replace the type-B port. A noticeable difference is the mini-jack port located at the bottom right and not on the left.

Moreover, the A5 is thicker than the S7 with a dimension of 145x71x7.8 mm. Its camera does not jut out from the back and best of all, it has fingerprint sensor.

The A5 is a mid-range phone priced at $430 dollars. Price is reasonable enough for it offers the best and the latest of the Samsung technology without paying more than $500 dollars as reported in AndroidPit.

What is known about the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) specs are as follows. It features a 5.2 inch display. It is equipped with an Exynos 7880 processor. It utilizes the Android 6.0 marshmallow operating system, scrapping the android 7.0 nougat. It has a 3GB Ram, 13MP camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
