The killer clown is on the move again as another sighting near Charleston University was reported. The student who allegedly saw the clown said that it was wearing dark clothes with a hood.

The student who saw the dark-clad figure said that she was walking her dog when she noticed a figure standing 50 feet away from her holding a knife with the face hidden behind a mask. The 22-year old student was the latest to report clown sightings around the area.

When the police confronted the student from Charleston Southern University, she said that the clown was around 17 years old, 5-foot 10, and 160 pounds. But when the police pressed further for the gender or race of the suspect, the woman said she wasn't able to recognize the person since she got afraid.

After the incident, university officials advised students not to walk alone but in pairs for the sake of safety. They also encouraged staff and students alike to immediately report any suspicious activity to the Charleston Police Department.

Charleston University spokesman John Strubel said that everybody should remain vigilant and never hesitate to ask for escort going back to their dorm if necessary. Strubel said that these precautionary measures are just one of the ways to ensure that their students are safe.

Killer clown sightings began in August and it has caused hysteria in some residents after a report in September surfaced that a machete-wielding man wearing a clown costume was seen roaming around the area and allegedly chasing a man. This sparked both phobia and clown hunting sprees not only around the area but across the nation as well.

The clown scare has even reached the UK where some people reported sightings. It also became the 'inspiration' of the Facebook group 'Clown Hunting' whose sole purpose is to search for and hunt down 'killer clowns.'
