When Apple announced three MacBook Pros at 'Hello Again' event, there's no significant information about the iPad and only a little about MacBook Air. Telegraph reported that the 13-inch MacBook Pro is specced similarly to and priced slightly more expensive than MacBook Air.

Hence, it is safe to say that the MacBook Air is now a low-end MacBook Pro 2016 that comes without Touch Bar or Touch ID. What does it have to do with the iPad Pro?

Users who want a cheaper Apple laptop might have to pick the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2 instead. It is rumored to get desktop-class performance along with powerful A10X chipset. Not to mention, the magic keyboards by Sonder that will make a great addition to the tablet.

Apple to focus on iPad Pro and discontinue the Mini, Air tablets?

Previously, we've stated three reasons why there won't be iPad Pro or MacBook Air this year and they're apparently true.

With iPhone 7 Plus in compact screen size, the iPad Mini may no longer be a choice for the superfans and the iPad Air could easily be replaced by the Pro lineup after learning from the announcement.

Corroborating the discontinuation rumor, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously stated that there will be three iPad Pros coming in 2017 with smoother navigation and more advanced software, according to Bloomberg. It would be pretty much able to replace a desktop.

iPad Pro 2 to sport USB C port?

Apple dares to omit the 3.5 mm headphone jack on iPhone and replace the standard USB port with USB type C on the MacBook Pro 2016. According to Tim Cook, iPhone 7 has received positive feedbacks from the faithful. That being said, the Cupertino giant may also be applying the same things to the iPad Pro 2.
