Bandai Namco has released the first DLC for "Dark Souls 3" and it's called "Ashes of Ariandel." The revelation is also accompanied by a trailer, and according to the news, it will arrive on the console platforms today. The DLC brings new line of weapons, enemies, spells, bosses and special armours for the game.

The theme of the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC on "Dark Souls 3" is described as something from the "cold new world." According to the Xbox Achievements, in order to play the DLC, gamers should be level 75 and above to experience the DLC. The challenge is to reach the Cathedral in the deep zone while locating the Cleansing Chapel.

Once players reaches the Chapel, a whole new world of experience will begin. And just like the "cold new world," description, players are thrust in a snowy setting, while fighting to stay alive and face new challenges in the form of new enemies. Ashes of Ariandel on "Dark Souls 3' also features a PvP mode.

Xbox season pass holders on the other hand were able to experience the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC prior to today. It's one of the perks that a season pass holder gets when it comes to DLCs. Today on the other hand marks the arrival of the "Dark Souls 3" DLC to all players.

According to the GameReactor, the Xbox One version of the "Ashes of Ariandel" DLC weighs at 850MB, while the actual size of the "Dark Souls 3" DLC is about 1.5GB. Those who have downloaded the DLC can also look through the trailer, which is featured below. The trailer alone says so much about the DLC and if you have not considered purchasing it, this might just convince you.
