With the Galaxy Note 7 cancellation, Samsung is in full crisis mode. Reports have been banging the internet claiming that the South Korean tech company is considering giving Note 7 customers a discount on 2017's Galaxy S8, as well as S8 Plus and Galaxy Note 8.

If the possible cash discounts don't seem to excite Note 7 customers that much, there's a fresh report that surfaced on the internet bearing even more good news for Note 7 owners. It seems like those who have already exchanged their device for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge will have a chance to get a free Galaxy S8 via a new program.

A Samsung official was quoted as saying that the Galaxy S8's price for the Note 7 owners will depend upon if it's the customer's first or second exchange of the smartphone. The official of Samsung added that the new compensation program of the company is designed to make it easier for those customers, who exchange their Note 7 with existing Samsung devices, to shift into their next model coming in next year, according to Sam Mobile.

On the other hand, the battery of Samsung Galaxy S8 is said to be supplied by LG. After the battery disaster of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung is reportedly expanding its list of battery suppliers, and is currently interested with LG Chem as a possible new partner for the upcoming Galaxy S8. In which, China's ATL and Samsung SDI are the current battery suppliers of the tech giant.

A Samsung executive said that they are looking at diverse battery suppliers which includes LG Chem, Korea Herald reported.

Nevertheless, Samsung is said to come along with a full edge to edge display without a physical home button, a 4K display, dual lens camera, Exynos 8895, Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chips, USB-C audio replacing the headphone jack, two sizes (both with curved displays), and a powerful Mali G71 graphics chip, Tribune has learned.
