Before the Pixel event of Google on Oct. 4, a lot of tech fans hoped that the tech company will also unveil the latest iteration of the Nexus 7 alongside its two latest Pixel smartphones. There were even rumors that the upcoming Nexus 7 2016 tablet will also get the same rebranding and may be dubbed as the Pixel 7.

The absence of the Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet during the event worries gadget enthusiasts that it may no longer come out this year. Although the tech giant remains mum about the upcoming Google Nexus 7 tablet, but there are reports speculating that the device will be produced by Huawei.

The new Nexus 7 is still the subject of much anticipation, and the device is apparently on track for release before the end of the year. In spite of that, the Nexus 7 is said to be a durable and powerful tablet. The affordable gadget will be one of the best selling tablets in the market, according to MobiPicker.

As for its specs, the Nexus 7 is speculated to boast a 7-inch AMOLED display, may carry along a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and an Adreno 530 with 4GB of RAM. Although Google is known for launching its latest operating system to its own device first, the Nexus 7 2016 may be packed with the Andromeda OS out-of-the-box instead of the Android Nougat.

Apparently, Andromeda is the newest operating system made by Chrome and Android that is designed for desktops. Since a tablet can be a portable device, the Andromeda addition on Nexus 7 2016 can be a huge advantage, Neuro Gadget has learned.

That being said, tech fans will have to wait for Google to release an upgrade of its tablet line. Although these are still speculations, the tech company may soon announce more details about the Nexus 7 tablet.
