Android 7.0 Nougat firmware update promises a stable and rich OS experience to its users. Towards the end of 2016, a handful of devices are set to receive this firmware upgrade.
Below is the list of devices which has an available firmware update. This also includes the release date of this upgrade, according to Android Authority.
Nexus: Nexus 5X, 6P, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, and General Mobile 4G.
One Plus: OnePlus 4 is said to have Android 7.0 Nougat update as its default OS, while One Plus 3, has also been targeted to be upgraded into this latest OS, Northbridge Times reported. OnePlus 2, however, is meant to receive an upgrade on the first quarter of 2017.
HTC: Aside from the Android 7.0 Nougat update, HTC also introduces the features Quick Reply, multi-window or split screen, multilingual support and fast app switching. HTC One A9, HTC One M9, HTC One M10 and HTC 10 will soon receive an upgrade.
Samsung: Samsung smartphones and phablets, such as Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy Note 5, will also be receiving this latest OS upgrades,
Motorola: Motorola has a long list of phones that will be receiving the update; however, latest models such as Moto E3 Power and Moto G are not included in the list. Here are the models which will receive the update - Moto G Play (4th Gen), Moto G (4th Gen), Moto G Plus (4th Gen), Moto X Force, Moto X Play, Moto X Style, Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Nexus 6, Moto Z, Moto Z Play, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Droid, Moto Z Force Droid, Droid Maxx 2, and Droid Turbo 2.
Sony: These devices will receive the upgrade in installments: Xperia X (November), Xperia X Performance (October), Xperia XZ (October), Xperia X Compact (November), Xperia XA (early 2017, Xperia Z5 (December), Xperia Z3+ (December), and Xperia Z4 Tablet (December).
