The world's thinnest laptop, Acer Swift 7, is now available for order in the United States with a starting price of $999. The extremely thin Swift 7 measures just 0.39 inches in height and weighs a mere 2.48 lbs., which provides incredible portability with up to 9 hours of battery life.

The black-and-gold dual tone design of Acer Swift 7 brings a touch of elegance to its durable all-aluminum uni-body. A Corning Gorilla Glass feature of the device protects the 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display with a micro-bezel, according to MS Power User.

The physical appearance of Acer Swift 7 seems equally impressive and fragile. The first model of Acer Swift 7 available is the SF713-51-M90J, which means that the Taiwanese tech company intends to turn Swift 7 into a series of notebooks, rather than just a single release. The device is said to be an ultrabook that is equipped with a seventh-gen Intel Core i5-7Y54 running at 1.2GHz, Slash Gear reported.

Acer Swift 7 is said to come along with the 13.3-inch 1080p display, which features IPS technology for wide viewing angles and color clarity. The world's thinnest laptop will also have Acer's own Bluelight Shield tech to cut down eye fatigue.

Under the hood of the Swift 7 will be a 256GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and 802.11ac Wi-Fi support, along with a pair of USB C ports and dual Dolby Audio speakers, PC World has learned.

The first model of Acer Swift 7 can be acquired from Acer's store or a on different retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon and Costco. The Taiwanese tech company says that more Swift 7 configurations will be up for grabs in the coming weeks.
