A Craigslist ad in Burlington, reportedly posted by 10 seniors at the University of Vermont (UVM), has garnered a lot of media attention and prompted a UVM police investigation as well.
The ad titled, 'house MILF' was posted, on behalf of a house comprising of UVM students, for the services of a woman older than 25, who is eager to clean and cook for the men every few days in exchange for sex. MILF is the acronym for 'mother I'd like to f***.'
The ad in question was deleted at the request of the university police.
UVM spokesman Enrique Corredera believes that the ad might have been posted by someone outside the student community.
"Since Craiglist does not release the names of individuals posting ads, we do not yet know for a fact that this ill-advised and offensive post originated with a University of Vermont student or students," UVM spokesman Enrique Corredera said. "The matter has been referred to UVM Police Services, which has worked successfully with Craigslist to have the post removed."
An excerpt of the ad, published in the 'Opposing Views,' reads:
We are a house of 10 men who all are seniors at UVM and are looking for an attractive older woman to come and cook for us every few days. In exchange she gets her pick of the men of the house to have.
Requirements aren't lengthy; be a woman older than 25 who can cook and would like to enjoy some hot sex with a number of fit 20 somethings. Hopefully you can come by every week for a meal and some play time. Obviously we can work to accommodate your schedule. ;)
We are located in Burlington, are a fun and clean group of guys, and are all 21+.
It is unclear, whether the ad was posted as a joke. If found guilty, UVM Police Chief, Lianne Tuomey said that the men could face solicitation charges.
