GoPro's updated versions of its line-up are now available for purchase. But the silver mid-range model is now gone, which is then replaced by only two now models, instead of three: the Hero 5 Black and the Hero 5 Session, which are both aimed for a different purpose.

According to Value Walk, these two action cameras differ in size and weight, as compared to its predecessor model Hero 4 Black. The Hero 5 Black looks like the Hero 4 Black in terms of its size; however, it is less bulky and it doesn't need a waterproof case. It has an overall size of 44.5mm x 62mm x 32 mm that weighs around 117 grams. Therefore, it weighs much lighter than iPhone7 that weighs at 138 grams.

On the other hand, the Hero 5 Session is more compact and lightweight. It has total dimensions of 38 mm x 38 mm x 36 mm and has an approximate weight of 74 grams. Therefore, it can fit in into the smallest part of your jeans, News Atlas reported.

Furthermore, the two cameras have different on-board controls. The Hero 5 has eliminated its three manual buttons, which can be found on its predecessor. There is instead a two-inch touchscreen, and only has one button meant for switching on the camera and for recording purposes. The Hero 5 seemed to be designed like a point and shoot camera, although it only has one button and no touch screen. Users can, however, use the GoPro app just to monitor what they are shooting.

Both of these cameras have voice controls, which means that saying "GoPro, start recording" can prompt the camera to execute that feature. The camera is programmed to understand seven language, thus, it can have a wider reach. Both cameras also feature 4K HD recording.
