The Chinese company Huawei has announced to unveil Honor 6X on Oct. 18. The Chinese firm already started sending out press invites for the big event.

The Honor 6X is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chipset, GSM Arena reported. The publication also provided a photo of the device, where it shows that the smartphone sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display that comes with either 2GB or 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity. The handset features a 13MP dual rear camera setup and comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Meanwhile, Honor 5x's successor was spotted passing through China's TENAA in September, according to Android Authority. This report is enough to give users an idea about the handset's specifications.

As of this writing, it is unclear whether Huawei will be extending its work with photography brand Leica for the Honor 6X; however, what is clear is that the smartphone has a dual rear camera configuration just like the high-end P9 and Honor 8.

Rumors suggest that Honor 6X has a dual 12-megapixel sensor setup, and may probably be accompanied by a standard 5-megapixel front facing shooter. In terms of pricing, the Honor 6X is expected to be offered at a similar price as the 5X, which was around at $200 / £135 / Rs.12,950 price range.

In other news, Huawei just announced two special promotions of Honor 8 in the United Kingdom.

The first promotion is the limited edition handset with the Eye of Agamotto symbol engraved onto the back of the smartphone, which will be given to winners of a competition. The second promo is to see the first registrants of the Honor 8 smartphone on carrier Three UK, which will give them a chance to get movie tickets with Marvel movie downloads, NDTV reported.

Unfortunately, the Honor 8 Doctor Strange limited edition handset will not be available for purchase. For those who are interested to get one, they must keep checking the Marvel UK Facebook page.
