A caption in one of the new "Power Rangers" poster was seen as defamation to a former Yellow Ranger actress. The producers immediately pulled out the offending caption but not after causing strong reaction from the fans.

Yellow Ranger's Poster Caption

Each "Power Ranger" poster has its own caption. For Yellow Ranger, the caption was "Driver's Ed not required." The caption caused a stir especially among the older fans. The original Yellow Ranger actress, Thuy Trang was killed in a motor vehicle accident around 15 years ago, according to Cinema Blend.

The Yellow Ranger caption was immediately taken out by Power Rangers producer, Lionsgate after a number of fans loudly complained about it. The Yellow Ranger caption is possibly an unintentional error on the part of movie studio. But observers note that the producer could have avoided the embarrasement if it adopted a safer caption like the Pink Ranger's, "Feels like flying."

There was also a tweet that also mentioned the said caption. However, the original tweet has also been removed, according to Cinema Blend. Singer / Actress Becky G assumed the new Yellow Ranger / Trini role, according to the Collider.

Power Rangers Posters Introduces New Casts

Becky G will be joined by Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger / Kimberly), Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger / Jason), RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger / Billy) and Ludi Lin (Black Ranger / Zack). Bryan Cranston also assumed the alien character, Zordon. Most of them are newcomers in acting except Cranston and Cyler.

Cranston did not get the Zordon role without incident. The original Blue Ranger actor, David Yost criticized the movie producer's decision to choose Cranston for the role. Yost was offended when Cranston made negative reference to his sexual orientation. The Zordon actor apologized to Yost after uttering those remarks.
