Samsung Galaxy 7 may get the latest Android update, Android 7.1 Nougat. This update may come very soon.

The rumor that S7 will get an Android update started when GFXBench released a listing of a Galaxy 7. It shows that the unit ran by the Android 7.0 OS. Some also claimed that S7 has been spotted running the Nougat OS.

The website also released a listing in September showing a Samsung smartphone with the model number SM-G930F, which also run the Android Nougat OS. The listing revealed the model number of Galaxy 7, which is SM-G930F.

What to expect on Android 7.1 Nougat?

The official website of Android Nougat noted that the OS will allow users to use two apps as they are displayed side-by-side. With that, users can watch a video, while do something else at the same time.

A new notification has been introduced, and Android Nougat OS update allows users to manage their notifications more efficiently. Aside from that, battery-saving features have been added to the update.

Android Nougat for Nexus Rumors

The tech giant, Google, has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to some Nexus devices on August 22. However, it appears that Nexus 6 only got the latest update on Oct. 3. Pocket-Lint reported.

As of writing this article, Google hasn't given any confirmation about the release date for the Nexus update to 7.1. This means, tech savvy users should wait for another announcement.

Although there's a history of such delay when it comes to getting the latest OS update, Blackberry was reported will speed up things for Android Nougat. However, some rumors suggest that it could be launched in 2017, not on the end of 2016.
