The long rumored MacBook Pro 2016 is about to debut at the end of October but Apple loyal fans seem cannot wait for the release date. Many are started buying out MacBook Pro 2016 alternative the ASUS ZenBook 3 which is said to have similar specs with Apple's portable machine.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date

Although Apple has remains silent over the October event, credible sources and insiders have confirmed the existence of the said launching event. Mac World reported that Apple is likely to reschedule the launching date from October 24 to 27 due to some changes in the company's activities schedules.

The 15-inch model of the current MacBook Pro is expected to have a major overhaul for the 2016 version. Apple's portable machine will be slimmer and thinner and is rumored to have an OLED touch panel for the "Dynamic Function Rows".

In addition, 2016 MacBook Pro is rumored to run the Intel Skylake processors in contradict to the previously reported Kaby Lake. Aside from that, AMD Polaris graphics chipset will also be an addition under the hood.

However, despite the rumored spectacular specs of upcoming MacBook Pro, there are fans that cannot seem to wait for its launching date. They started eyeing the mac alternative - ASUS ZenBook 3 which according to some a MacBook Pro clone.

ASUS ZenBook 3 Specs Review

Luxury is the first word that will come into someone's mind at a first glance to ASUS ZenBook 3 due to its smooth and sleek aluminum alloy case. Described as Apple-inspired by Engadget, ZenBook 3 has thinner and lighter design compare to Apple MacBook Pro.

In addition, ZenBook 3 is dubbed as a high-end ultraportable that comes with a vibrant screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels lower than MacBook Pro that has 2304 x 1440. Another notable feature is the mini-dock to support extra ports.

ASUS ZenBook 3 is not touch screen but protected by Gorilla Glass 4 for extra protection. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor which is said to be copied from MacBook Pro.
