Though Microsoft is far from releasing the Xbox Project Scorpio, the software giant did reveal some info about the pricing of the upcoming gaming console. As fans were concerned that Microsoft would price Xbox Project Scorpio significantly higher like the PS4 Pro, but the tech company assured the fans that they are not going to do that.

Even though the Xbox Project Scorpio will carry a premium price, the new gaming console will not be expensive like Sony has priced the PS4 Pro at £349, based on the report of Value Walk.

Xbox boss Phil Spencer stated that as gamers can see the price of the Xbox One S today. When they designed both of these consoles, which they kind of designed it in parallel, they thought about the price performance of what the company wanted to hit with the Scorpio, relative to what they were going to be able to do with the Xbox One S, NZ Gamer reported.

Spencer stated that the company will have a good price continuum, so that video gamers would not look at the consoles as disconnected, for the reason of the price delta. This will help gamers perceive Xbox Project Scorpio as a premium product and not something or anything more than that.

Aside from Xbox Project Scorpio, the Xbox boss also shared his thoughts on the announcement of the PS4 Pro. Spencer said that it didn't affect their plans at all, as they started to look at a hardware refresh that they might want to do, which in the end led the tech company to the Xbox One S and Scorpio in terms of designs.

The performance of PS4 Pro is about what they thought, but they decided that the company wanted to do something different. As they looked at Scorpio and 4K, the Xbox boss thought that it was a bigger step in terms of performance. It was something that Microsoft wanted to focus on, according to Game Spot.
