A new information suggests that iPad Pro 2 may have three new variants that includes a small tablet. What becomes of iPad Mini?

Apple rumor: Three new iPad Pro 2

It seems that this new rumor corroborates analyst Ming Chi Kuo, who said that Apple could introduce three brand new iPad variants. However, the recent rumor suggests a more detail information by stressing that the 7.9 inch, 9.7 inch and 10.1 devices are the addition to the current available models.

With that being said, the 7.9 inch iPad Pro will have the same size as the iPad Mini. This is why many rants quickly assumed that Apple may not be producing the iteration. University Herald previously noted that since Kuo did not mention 9.7 inch iPad upgrade, this could mean that Apple might wave goodbye to the mini tablet or giving the tablet a new name.

However, if iPad Mini does arrive with a new name, iPad Mini Pro - with the same 7.9 inch size - wouldn't this mean that Apple is just relabeling the tablet?

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 specifications

Another surprising rumor is the presence of 3.5 mm headphone jack in iPad Pro 2. This would mean another controversy after Apple decided to ditch headphone jack in iPhone 7. The rumor came from Mac Otakara, a Japanese website who has not predicted accurately but a few of speculations it made, were true.

This may be a speculative information but given that iPad tablet does not necessarily need a thin design like iPhone 7, it would make sense to make the headphone jack be present in the device.

If the iPad Pro tablets retain the headphone jack, Apple superfans might be delighted to see their favorite feature still available in Apple device.

Furthermore, the 12.9 inch iPad Pro is said to get a new display, the True Tone, with specs include a 12 MP of rear camera.

Apple rumor: iPad Pro 2 release date

Many rants have speculated that the iPad Pro 2 will be introduced sometime in March 2017. However, this rumor is to be taken with a grain of salt since the rant of Macbook Pro 2016 released in September has also proven to be wrong. According to the DailyMail, Apple refused to comment any of the rumors and remains mum.
