Brilliant S.T.A.R. Labs engineer Cisco Ramon played by Carlos Valdes gets a new spin playing a billionaire in the upcoming 3rd Season of "The Flash."
Cisco is a well-loved character having a flair for referencing pop-culture and giving names to the villains The Flash go up against. Having been affected by the particle accelerator, his metahuman ability did not surface until late in the season. Once he came to terms that he is a metahuman, he called himself Vibe that adds on to his 'normal' ability to build almost anything when the need arises.
In "The Flash" Season 3, we see a new Cisco in the alternate timeline that was created when Barry went back in time to save his mother from the Reverse-Flash. This is resulted in what is called in the comics as "Flashpoint."
In a Youtube video featurette released by The CW Television Network for the character of Cisco, we see him come out of the elevator with a beautiful woman in tow. As he steps out of the elevator, he claps and proclaims, "Is there a better way to get to work than [in] my helicopter?"
The alternate reality created a very different Cisco we grew to love. In this timeline, he cashed on his abilities, and as a result, he became an ostentatious billionaire and head of a giant tech company and became the richest man in America Comic Book reported. However, Valdes believes that underneath in all the changes coming, he still thinks that the pivotal core of Cisco remains.
For Valdes, this will be the third iteration of his character from Season 1 and Season 2. Aside from being the Cisco Ramon we know and love, he also played the villain version of himself from Earth-2 known as Reverb.
During ComicCon, he poked fun at his new Cisco character, saying "He flossin." In addition, according to him, his characters' specialty is making money and flaunting it; however, he adds that no matter how different this Cisco is the core is still the same - he remains a genius possessing technological prowess that he used to become rich.
Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen/The Flash, even said, "I think we can state... Flashpoint does not last all season long, but there are permanent ramifications."
"The Flash" Season 3 returns on Tuesday, October 4 at 8/7c on The CW.
