In an interview with Senior director of Xbox product management and planning, Albert Penello, the jabs were by no means meant to disrespect the console's competition. It was merely to highlight the new Xbox One S features.
Penello stated that they have got a product to sell, so they're going to highlight the things they think make their product advantaged over the other. Penello added that it doesn't come with a disrespect for what they're doing, based on the report of Eurogamer.
The mere fact that Sony and Microsoft appears to be following very similar hardware tactics, their consoles differ greatly in terms of its hardware and features, Tech Radar reported.
Penello also asserted that despite how the console's competition appears, the desire to implement a 4K Blu-ray was decided upon early on during the production cycle of the console.
