Microsoft announced during MineCon 2016 that the company will bring some necessary updates to the "Minecraft" game on Windows 10 next month. Aside from "Minecraft" Windows 10 version, major updates will also land to its Pocket edition and Gear VR edition.

The game's developer Mojang and Microsoft rocked the Anaheim Convention Center in California during the weekends to celebrate the love for the sandbox construction game. Some of the pretty big announcements during Minecon 2016 includes "Minecraft's" Boss Update, Add-ons Update and the "Minecraft: Console Edition Chinese Mythology Mash-Up."

According to IGN, with Boss Update, game enthusiasts will finally see the much anticipated Boss Battles in Minecraft: Gear VR Edition, Minecraft: Windows 10 beta Edition and Minecraft: Pocket Edition, which is slated to roll out on Oct. 18. Since boss battles is being introduced for the first time in all of these versions, enthusiasts will definitely experience game changes up a notch, especially with the tweaks made for Wither boss battle and the Elder Guardian, along with its Ocean Monument.

Apart from the gameplay changes on Boss Update, it will also receive more controller options, allowing "Minecraft" gamers to connect and use their wireless Xbox One controller on Windows 10 and Gear VR via Bluetooth, Hot Hardware reported. In addition to Xbox Wireless controller support, VR users in Windows 10 will also receive an Oculus Touch input support for their devices.

While Boss battles will roll out on Oct. 18, the same day will also bring some striking update to gamers, something called as "Add-ons." Executive producer of "Minecraft" Jesse Merriam said via Microsoft blog that players would now be able to mix components of the game's characters with Add- Ons.

Furthermore, the producer explained that worlds created via Add-Ons can now be shared to other players directly. Gamers can also opt to upload the Worlds they have created via Add-Ons to their Realms, wherein they can be able to access it anytime and anywhere.

Meanwhile, prior Oct. 18's launch of Boss Update and Add-Ons update, owners of Minecraft: Console Edition can get their hands on "Chinese Mythology Mash-Up" on Oct. 4. "Minecraft: Chinese Mythology Mash-Up" pack, which is priced at $4.99, will bring a special map, 13 music tracks, 41 new skins and a pre-made dragon world.
