Bandai Namco has just announced "Dragon Ball Fusions," a brand new portable Dragon Ball Action-RPG experience for the Nintendo 3DS that is slated to hit the store shelves in the West on December 13 this year.

In the upcoming role-playing game, players can stack up and fuse characters from Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball series. The impending game features a mammoth roster of character appearances from across the whole Dragon Ball series. Moreover, the game adopts a chibi art style, according to reports on GameSpot.

"Dragon Ball Fusions" was launched in Japan for Nintendo 3DS earlier this year

Players will have the opportunity to delve into a brand new original Dragon Ball story in "Dragon Ball Fusions" Adventure mode. Alternatively, they can also show off their fighting prowess in Multiplayer Battle mode.

But that's not all! The game allows players to fuse the powers between characters to spawn umpteen combinations of powerful characters, according to Bandai Namco's official announcement on its website.

Those looking to capture and share their "Dragon Ball Fusions" fun, can use the Nintendo 3DS' camera to take pictures with friends and merge them with Dragon Ball characters or trade special moves with nearby players.

According to Dennis Lee, Director of Brand Marketing at Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc., with "Dragon Ball Fusions," the company finally brings a Dragon Ball RPG experience to its huge fanbase on the Nintendo 3DS, which continues to be a fan favorite platform, especially for gamers who are always on the go. ESRB has currently rated the game "T" for Teen.
