Xiaomi Mi 5s features a 16MP rear camera that provides PDAF focusing, 4-axis OIS and an f/1.8 aperture. The 3490mAh battery will keep the lights on, and Quick Charge 3.0 will the cell regain power fast.

Xiaomi Mi5s, the improved version of Xiaomi Mi5, has reportedly caught the attention of some mobile users. With features that are mostly high-end specs, the new handset is believed to be the first device to use an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner that is made by Qualcomm. This means that the biometric reader is going to be embedded under the phone's screen.

The new Xiaomi Mi 5s comes in a 5.5-inch display and a 1080x1920 resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 821 chipset with a quad-core 2.4GHz CPU and Adreno 530 GPU. Based on reports, two or three different variations of the handset are likely to come: one with 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB of internal memory; another with a 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of native storage; the likely third may come with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 256GB of flash memory.

Moreover, Xiaomi is expected to offer a great value in terms of its pricing, which will be confirmed, along with the specs, on the scheduled release date of Sept. 27. Previous reports indicate that the company has been sending invitations now, with invites showing a stylized letter "S" that seems to look like the number "5", Phone Arena reported.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi's camera strategy has gone beyond action cams, as the company's associated Xiaoyi brand introduces the M1, a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless camera, which is expected to provide solid performance. However, the camera is not the most advanced between its maximum ISO 25,600 sensitivity, a 20MP sensor and the lack of either an electronic viewfinder or a built-in flash.

Xiaomi Mi 5s offers the camera at $330, bundled with a 12-40mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and has more than a passing resemblance to a modern Leica camera, which is a stylish and accessible way into the world of photography, ENGadget reported.
