The Coalition revealed that the upcoming third-person shooter video game "Gears of War 4" for the PC will provide local split-screen co-op. Technical director Mike Rayner stated that this is difficult to support, given the video game must utilize multiple inputs.

Although the placement of the video game's user interface, and the camera's focus on each player are also difficult to support, adding a split-screen support was a labor of love for the Canadian video game developer, according to Digital Trends.

In spite of the fact that gamers witnessed split-screen support on numerous console games. But, PCs aren't fastened to a specific hardware set, similar to consoles. In this way, "Gears of War 4" gamers can modify the screen resolution and aspect ratio on PC to meet their satisfaction.

Technical director Rayner pointed out that split-screen of "Gears of War 4" on the PC has to be right, and will not be considered like a secondary feature.

Rayner stated that from a development point of view, it is quite difficult to support, they have to deal with multiple inputs, the development team has to deal with focus, and they have to occupy themselves with UI placement.

However, "Gears of War 4" can be played cross-play online between Xbox One and Windows 10 for the campaign co-op in the Horde mode. Also the upcoming third-person shooter video game can also be played in multiplayer versus mode against AI, as well as multiplayer versus mode in private and LAN games, which means a PC gamer will be able to play with pals who don't have the "Gears of War 4" video game on PC, based on the report of PC Gamer.

The campaign of "Gears of War 4" will ultimately deliver exactly the fix a gamer has been looking for. Gamers will know for sure when the video game launches on PC and Xbox One on October 11, CNET reported.
