The iPad Mini 4 was released in September 2015, unfortunately, Apple Inc. opted not to do it this time with its successor, the iPad Mini 5. Others even believe the tech company no longer has plans to unveil the device this year.

A number of individuals were expecting that the tech company would find time to reveal the next iteration of the iPad Mini, but the Cupertino based company focused on the new iPhone 7 smartphone as well as the Apple Watch Series 2, according to Christian Times.

If the rumors turn out to be true, potential buyers can expect the iPad Mini 5 will include a 7.9-inch Retina display, 3 gigabyte of random access memory, and 32 gigabyte of internal RAM, which can be upgradable up to 256 gigabyte with an SD card, Christian Post reported.

Reports seems to contradict the kind of processor the iPad Mini 5 is going to use. It will either be an A9, M9, or the portable device may come with the A10 chip. The iPad Mini 5 will allegedly be packed with an an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.2 MP front camera. iPad Mini 5 will also come with the tech company's pressure-sensitive 3D Touch technology.

The iPad Mini 5 is expected to be thinner compared to the previous models. The latest installment will just be 5 mm thicker rather than 6.1 mm of the previous iPads. A device with a thinner body means smaller batteries as well.

Specifically, iPad Mini 5 will use a 5124 mAh battery. Apple's iPad Mini 5 is also said to come along with the same type of aluminum on its build as the one utilized on the iPhone 6S and 6S plus, based on the report of PC Tablet.

Although iPad Mini 5 may not also have the most popular change in the iPhone 7, the upcoming device might also get rid of the 3.5 mm headphone jack. This makes the iPad Mini 5 dust and water-resistant.
