‘The Rock Vs. Brock Lesnar 2’ Likely At WWE Clash Of Champions 2016? See Who Else Wants To Fight 'The Beast Incarnate'
ByLooks like a good news for the WWE Universe and wrestling fans all over the world as multiple reports have indicated that that a Brock Lesnar Vs. The Rock showdown could be in the offing at the professional wrestling company's upcoming PPV (pay-per-view) event, Clash of Champions 2016.
It looks like the "Brahma Bull" is on the verge of making his highly anticipated comeback to the squared ring, despite being named as this year's highest-paid actor in Hollywood by Forbes, and no prizes for guessing, The Rocks wants to face none other than the "Beast Incarnate" himself, Brock Lesnar when he finally makes his return. But The Rock is not the only one excited about the idea.
The fight is welcomed by the Lesnar, too. In fact, he alludes to squaring off against The Rock as one of the biggest matches in history of the professional wrestling company, according to reports on The Gamers Drop.
No doubt, Lesnar is all set to grab the opportunity to fight the "Great One" at Clash of Champions with both hands.
But Paul Heyman, the infamous "advocate" of the former UFC fighter told The Sun that it won't happen because The Rock is too scared to face Lesnar inside the squared ring. Heyman pointed out that The Rock picks fights with other WWE superstars such as Rusev, John Cena and Bray Wyatt but does not pick a fight with Lesnar.
Besides, Brock Lesnar Vs. The Rock matchup might not come to fruition because the Pay Per View event is just around the corner. This also means that the match may take place at WrestleMania 33 next year.
Heyman even noted that the fight would definitely sell-out, but not because of The Rock, but because of "The Night Mayor of Suplex City," Brock Lesnar.
In related news, Daniel Bryan wants to fight Brock Lesnar before he throws in the towel, according to reports on OneIndia.
One of the most applauded professional wrestlers of all time; Bryan announced his in-ring retirement in February this year citing some major injuries. In fact, doctors have strongly recommended him to sidestep wrestling completely for now. However, Bryan wants to leave the sport in style (or on a stretcher, if Lesnar has his way).
Apparently, Bryan is keen on showing the WWE Universe and his fans how brave he is than actually being able to walk post the fight.
As far as Brock Lesnar Vs. The Rock matchup is concerned; the last time the two WWE superstars faced off in the ring was back in 2002 when Lesnar beat The Rock to become the youngest Undisputed WWE Champion in history.
At the time, rumors were running rampant that "The Rock vs. Brock Round 2" matchup will take place at WrestleMania 30. There is no word why that didn't happen. Nevertheless, it looks like the WWE is gearing up to take advantage of this with their Clash of Champions fight.
Several other reports, on the other hand, claim that the main event fight at the upcoming PPV will be The Undertaker's last ever match with the World Wrestling Entertainment, where he is rumored to face off against John Cena.
