Apple ‘MacBook Pro 2016’ Likely to Retain the Headphone Jack until 2018; Samsung ‘Galaxy S8’ Specs, Release Date Leaked!
ByApple is in the middle of confusion in the removal of headphone jack in "MacBook Pro 2016" according to a rumor suggesting that the 3.5mm audio socket will be seen in the 2016 laptop flagship until 2018. On the other hand, Samsung is preparing for another take off next year as the "Galaxy S8" rumor is making rounds.
The removal of an old technology has made iPhone 7 the most-talked about smartphone for the year. But this is the truth of the matter - Apple is just testing the waters for wireless headphones. And it seems like it is possible to remove the audio jack in "MacBook Pro 2016". The idea is cool but 9 to 5 Mac speculated that that won't be the case for 2016 laptop flagship since Apple is likely to retain the 3.5mm headphone jack until 2018. The real deal for wireless headphones in "MacBook Pro" will be after two years from now.
Based on 9 to 5 Mac reports, the certainty of a "MacBook Pro 2016" with headphone jack is very high in the sense that Apple has not made any decision between a USB-C port for lightning or W1 chip which currently exists in iPhone 7 for AirPods. It's worth mentioning that USB-C did not make it to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus so the favor will likely go to W1 chip for seamless pairing.
On the other hand, Samsung is rumored to make a comeback in 2017 when "Galaxy S8" specs, price and released date were leaked. Forbes referred to it as a welcome distraction from the fiasco brought by Galaxy Note 7. The report claimed that "Galaxy S8" physical design will sport two curve edges and will come in two different models with different screen sizes. Samsung new models have internal codenames Dream and Dream2. No price details have been disclosed by the source publication.
