Electronic Arts has conjured to the excitement that's already there among gaming buffs as they await the release of Battlefield 1. This precedes a move by Electronic Arts in collaboration with Gold to make "Battlefield 4" DLC go for free only for this week; this will be for both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. For players who did not get a chance to enjoy the military shooter content that was previously added for free.

As reported by Microsoft's Larry " Major Nelson" Hryb, Players will enjoy this offer if they have an active Xbox Live Gold membership; this will enable them to enjoy the various expansions such as; China Rising, Naval Strike, Dragon's Teeth, Second Assault, and Final Stand. All these expansions are readily available to download and use with Xbox One. Xbox 360 owners also have a great chance to enjoy the expansions from Xbox Marketplace. Players ought to know that the free downloads are not available for long, but until September the 20th on Tuesday, PC World reported.

There is no sign of having these add-ons made available to PlayStation 3 and 4 owners. However, PlayStation 4 owners will have access to DLC. This will be made possible by the PlayStation Store.

The very first DLC to be made available in "Battlefield" was the China Rising, it comprises of the Dragon pass, Guilin Peaks, Altai Range, and Silk Road.

The next expansion features variations in the design of Battlefield 3 maps, it also incorporated the Capture the Flag which is a multiplayer game. The design that has been set-up includes the Operation Metro, Operation Firestorm, Gulf of Oman, and the Caspian Border; all these locations offer the astounding thrill coupled by multiple distractions and weapons that add to the great gaming experience, Eurogamer reported.

Having been inspired by Battlefield 2142, Naval Strike is the third DLC featuring the Carrier Assault mode. The expansion also constitutes the islands in the South China Sea featured on maps of Wave Breaker, Lost Islands, Operation Mortar, and Nansha Strike.

The chain link multiplayer comes with four maps; the expansion is known as Dragon's Teeth. The maps are; Sunken Dragon, Propaganda, lumphini Garden, Pearl Market.

The other expansion is Final Stand which comes with secret prototype vehicles and weapons such as hover tanks, it also comes with four requisite maps that include; Giants of Karelia, Hangar 21, Operation Whiteout, Hammerhead.
