Apple finally took the wraps off its highly-anticipated iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones on Wednesday, September 7 in San Francisco leaving everyone gazing in awe, and gadget freaks in India wondering when can they get their hands on Apple's latest smartphones.

Fret not! The Cupertino-based technology giant is gearing up to launch the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus exactly a month later - i.e. from October 7 - in India.

Aside from hazarding a guess about the new iPhones' release date, Indian iPhone fanatics are likely to have a lot of other questions lingering in their minds about the handsets. Here's an attempt to answer a few of them.

iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Price In The U.S.

First off, in the U.S., the iPhone 7 is up for grabs for a price starting at $649 for the new 32GB entry-level variant. For those unaware; Apple has scrapped the 16GB model.

The iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, starts at $769 for the same storage capacity of 32GB. The popular smartphone manufacturer has doubled the storage variants on other models, with 128GB and 256GB variants now rounding up the lineup, Gadgets360 reported.

Other Devices Announced At The Apple Event

In addition to announcing the iPhone 7 (4.7-inch) and the iPhone 7 Plus (5.5-inch), Apple also announced the Apple Watch dubbed as Series 2, and a brand new wireless headset dubbed as the Apple AirPod.

What's New In The Apple iPhone 7?

The design is little different as the lines have given way to solid color, among them a matte-finish solid black and glossy jet black models.

Moreover, the iPhone 7 Plus sports a dual camera set-up which gives it a different appearance in the rear. Plus, both the smartphones have ousted the headphone jack and will now connect to audio devices via the lightning port.

The home button will now offer haptic feedback and users will feel a buzz every now and then.

Both handsets will be powered by a quad-core A10 Fusion processor with two high-efficiency, and two high-power cores each. As far as battery life is concerned, Apple claims the new devices will offer at least a couple of hours more than the earlier versions, The Indian Express reported.

Apple iPhone 7: Price In India

The Apple iPhone 7 is slated to hit the store shelves in India carrying a starting price tag of Rs. 60,000 (about $900). Apple has not yet divulged prices for the iPhone 7 Plus in the country though. Citing the U.S. price difference of $120 between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus variants, the Plus variant in India is likely to be at least Rs. 10,000 more.

Do Both Phones Sport The Dual Camera?

Regrettably, No! Only the iPhone 7 Plus comes with a dual camera.

That being said, the iPhone 7 now features a better camera; but, features such as the telephoto combination and wide-angle are exclusive to the high-end iPhone 7 Plus. While the iPhone 7 camera now comes with optical image stabilization, the iPhone 7 Plus features up to 2X optical and 10X digital zoom.

To sum it all up, the only difference between the two models is the dual camera. And contrary to what earlier reports hinted, the larger model does not encompass more RAM to aid the camera.
