Pop sensation Taylor Swift expressed her sorrow for the untimely death of one of her fans as she donated $5,000 to the victim's family.

The 'Blank Space' singer-songwriter also left a personal note at the GoFundMe page created in honor of Katie Beth Carter, the 18-year-old Jacksonville State University student who died in a tragic car accident between Highway 278 and Roy Webb Road on Monday afternoon.

According to local news outlet WRCB, the Alabama state troops said that the JSU Marching Ballerina squad member was driving back to her college when a tractor trailer fatally hit her. The college freshman just spent the Labor Day weekend with her family.

Carter was airlifted to Georgia's Grady Memorial Hospital where she eventually died at 6:00 pm.

The victim's sister Kimi, set up a GoFundMe account page for her and posted a screenshot on Instagram on Thursday of Swift's message and thanked the singer for the gesture of kindness. The surviving sister also wrote on Instagram just a day before Swift made her donation that she and her sister used to sing 'Hamilton' and Swift's songs at the top of their lungs while in the car.

Swift's contribution would go to hospital and funeral expenses and was among the more than 500 donations made in just a couple of days. The GoFundMe campaign easily surpassed its goal of $30,000 with $34,000.

This won't be the first time the 26-year-old star, who's widely recognized as one of the most popular female singers of this generation, makes a generous offer to one of her fans.

Last year, Swift caused a shakeup on the crowdfunding site GoFundMe's donation cap of $15,000 when she donated $50,000 to Naomi Oakes, an 11-year-old fan battling cancer.

GoFundMe CEO Rob Solomon confirmed in the company's blog post that the singer's generous offer caused the company to change its rules and resulted to an increased donation limit.
