New plot details for an upcoming horror film that is will be set at the "Winchester Mystery House" has been released. Hellen Mirren will be flying to Australia for filming.

Last May, news about the an upcoming film about the infamous "Winchester Mystery House" in San Jose, California. And when "CBS Films" made public a press release which was run by the Chronicle, fans of the horror genre seem to be excited that this film is going to be made.

Now this all sound good to horror genre fans, having Dame Hellen Mirren to its cast would be a treat to movie fans in general. As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, Helen Mirren will be setting foot in Australia for the first time in nearly 50 years.

In a report by SFist, details of film's plot places Mirren in the title role as Sarah Winchester, who was the rich heiress to the Winchester family fortune. Although some stories regarding her life seem questionable, the aspect of her life of continuously constructing additional rooms to her mansion in order to outmaneuver and divert the spirit of the lives that their rifles have claimed is a common tale among those in Santa Clara Valley. Sarah Winchester, in a nutshell, believed that the spirits were after her.

When the addition of new rooms has ceased, the odd-looking house was already seven-stories tall, with roughly 160 rooms. It was said that the rooms will be explored in the movie, and just imagining the kind of chase sequences that they could have within the confines of those walls could actually be quite chilling. Especially on the big screen.

The plot description further continues with the introduction of Eric Price, a psychiatrist from San Francisco with a skeptical outlook in life. He is sent to the Winchester estate to evaluate Sarah's sanity, and discovers that her quirks may not have been caused by insanity after all. The plot description also states that there will be a lot of ghosts chasing Sarah, and will bring audiences into the labyrinth-like world of the Winchester House.
