Dell's Latest Alienware Gaming Laptops Are VR Ready, Devices Are Packed With GTX 10-Series Graphics
ByThe computer tech company Dell has made known a 13, 15 and 17-inch lineup of thinner, virtual reality (VR) ready Alienware gaming laptops that pack new designs and fast-paced eye-tracking features. The main attraction for gamers is the support of the devices for the latest NVIDIA laptop cards.
The big-screen Alienware 17 is installed with the top-end NVIDIA GTX 1080 chip, while the Alienware 15 gets the GTX 1070 and GTX 1060 for the Alienware 13. That means that all three Alienware machines will be VR-ready for Oculus Rift as well as HTC Vive headsets.
With the hinge point pushed forward, Alienware 17 and 15-inch gaming laptops have been completely redesigned. That way, Dell was allowed to put additional parts and cooling on the back of the devices, which makes it 25 percent slimmer. In making the laptops better build quality and rigidity, the chassis of the devices were built with anodized aluminum and magnesium alloy, according to Engadget.
Chris Sutphen, the senior marketing manager at Alienware, even confirmed that following the release of Nvidia's new GPUs, the new lineup of Alienware gaming laptops rolled out.
Sutphen further explained that the concept of the gaming laptop acting as gaming coach was very easy to implement with the help of the Swedish high-tech company, Tobii. Sutphen stated that tracking of the gamers' eyes can be used as analytics to help them play their games better, based on the report of Tech Times.
The benchmarks of the gaming laptops also showed an 85 percent performance boost when compared with the previous Alienware generation.
Anyway, Frank Azor, general manager of Alienware and XPS, Dell, said in a statement that as Alienware brought amazing resolutions and technology 20 years ago, the new lineup of the amazing Alienware gaming laptops was a product of that history. Azor added that they are proud to bring these devices to gamers, Venture Beat reported.
